Thanks to all those who tuned in this week to...

POWER HOUR WITH DJ PAUL

Each week, I will put together a themed playlist of music to prime your mind for the upcoming Paulcast episode. If you have any suggestions of a theme, let me know! :)

This week, I was doing research on the diversity of the people who create and produce modern pop music, and came across this study from USC ANNENBERG INCLUSION INITIATIVE.

The Study can be found here:

INCLUSION IN THE RECORDING STUDIO? EXAMINING 800 POPULAR SONGS

From the results, this chart specifically stood out to me

I wanted to investigate and highlight some of the incredible pop songs that have been co-written by black women and to highlight some of the names behind the artists we know and love. The source to find some of the names was this article.

Please check out these people and I hope you enjoy jamming out to these hits!

Feel free to play this Spotify playlist on your own time:

Also, THE PAULCAST will now be available on SoundCloud and Spotify!
